Walking Tall Stables opened its doors in October of 2002 dedicating itself to the
development and training of the Tennessee Walking Horse. From the starting of young
colts to the more advanced training of the older walking horse, Walking Tall has
helped a wide range of customers with a wide range of needs. Horses young and old left in
the hands of our trainers are taught the basics of giving to the bit, parking or stretching
out and standing for the rider to mount and dismount. Additional training includes backing,
side passing, and plenty of trail time for the horse to "see the world". As with many gaited
horses, their gait may not always be as smooth as we would like, and we have spent many hours
on the backs of "pacey" or "trotty" walkers, turning their gait around and delivering a
smooth ride to very pleased customers. For people desiring the show ring, we have trained
and brought to the show ring many horses, winning ribbons on most.

Horses trained at Walking Tall are ridden five (5) days a week, Monday thru Friday, and are
given Saturday and Sunday off. If geographically possible, owners are encouraged to come
out and watch their horse being trained, as so much can be learned from observing our
trainers. Our lesson program teaches the owner/rider the very same things that our trainer
is working on with their horse, so in the end, both horse and rider come together understanding
the right "cues", both leg and hand.

With many satisfied customers already, Walking Tall's desire is to continue delivering smooth,
professionally trained horses to customers all across the country. We have trained and delivered
horses from North Carolina to Virginia to Ohio. Our goal is to surpass our customer's expectations,
delivering back to them everything they asked for and more.
